Rough machining
Turning/milling forming: Process the blank to near the final size, leaving a precision machining allowance of 0.2-0.5mm
Drilling guide column holes: The accuracy of positioning holes should be controlled within ± 0.02mm
Heat treatment
Quenching+tempering: to achieve a hardness standard of 92HRA (hard alloy) or 58-62HRC (tool steel) for the material
Cryogenic treatment (optional): enhances the dimensional stability of materials such as SKD11
Precision machining
Precision grinding: Use a CNC grinder to machine the cutting edge, with a surface roughness of ≤ Ra0.8 μ m58
Wire cutting: Processing complex irregular contours with an accuracy of ± 0.005mm ³
3、 Post processing and inspection
Surface strengthening
TD treatment or PVD coating: enhances the anti adhesive wear ability of the punch material
Polishing: Mirror treatment on the cutting edge to reduce punching burrs
Quality verification
Dimensional inspection: Use a coordinate measuring instrument to verify key dimensions 68
Trial punching test: Perform 50-100 punches on the matching mold and observe the wear of the cutting edge
4、 Packaging and storage
Rust proof oil packaging, hard alloy punch needs to be separately shockproof packaged
Label material, hardness, and applicable stamping thickness range 6
The entire process requires special attention to the clearance between the punch material and the mold (usually 5-8% of the material thickness), and the processing environment should be kept at a constant temperature and humidity to avoid dimensional deformation.

The hardness after heat treatment is higher than D2/1.2379/Cr12Mo1V1, and can reach 61-63HRC after high-temperature tempering (525 ± 5 ℃); In terms of strength and wear resistance, it exceeds Cr12Mo1V1, and its toughness is higher than D2/1.2379/Cr12Mo1V1; The manufactured molds rarely have cracks and fissures, greatly improving their service life; The residual stress after wire cutting processing is smaller than that of Cr12Mo1V1; The cutting and grinding performance exceeds Cr12Mo1V1.
Suitable for manufacturing precision punching dies and stamping dies for cold forging, deep drawing, and wire rolling for wire cutting processing.
