Recently, domestic Nantian Steel Enterprise has successfully developed a new generation of high-end die steel forging and rolling precision plate products, marking an important technological breakthrough in the field of precision die materials in China. This product adopts an integrated process of "vacuum melting+multi-directional forging and rolling+ultra-fine treatment", which significantly improves the density, isotropy, and surface smoothness of the material. The hardness uniformity error is controlled within ± 1HRC, and the compressive strength is increased by 15% compared to traditional processes.
It is reported that this technological upgrade focuses on solving the problems of deformation resistance and wear resistance of mold steel in precision stamping, injection molding and other scenarios. Through the intelligent temperature control rolling system, the grain size has reached ASTM grade 12 or above, which can meet high-end needs such as integrated die-casting molds for new energy vehicles and 3C electronic ultra-thin stamping dies. The company has signed supply agreements with multiple leading manufacturers and is expected to produce over 20000 tons of high-end precision plates annually, replacing over 30% of imports. Experts from the China Mold Industry Association pointed out that this breakthrough will accelerate the competitiveness of domestic mold steel in the global precision manufacturing industry chain.
