In order to effectively prevent industrial gas cylinder safety accidents during special operations, standardize the safe use of industrial gas cylinders, and enhance the safety responsibility awareness of safety management personnel and maintenance workers, on August 16th, Hubei Nantian Industrial Mold Technology Co., Ltd. invited the person in charge of Hubei Heyuan Gas Co., Ltd. to conduct a special safety education and training on the theme of "Safety of Gas Cylinder Use in Special Operations". The safety department of Nantian Technology, production managers of each workshop, equipment managers, and maintenance workers of each workshop participated in this education and training.
Chen Xiang, the head of the Safety and Environmental Protection Department of Hubei Heyuan Gas Co., Ltd., served as the keynote speaker for this training. Chen Xiang systematically elaborated on the safety of gas use in the workshop from the aspects of the properties and uses of oxygen, inspection of gas cylinders, use of gas cylinders, operating procedures and risk prevention for filling, risks and countermeasures during transportation, and risks and countermeasures during transportation. At the same time, based on the video case of gas cylinder filling accidents observed on site, the use of pressure reducing valves, the necessity of steel cylinder caps, and the criticality of protective equipment, which are often overlooked, were explained in a clear and concise manner. Chen Xiang also made a key reminder regarding the safety hazard of oil stains found on the gas cylinders of Nantian Technology multiple times. It is strictly prohibited for maintenance workers to operate gas cylinders with hands and tools contaminated with oil to prevent safety accidents such as explosions.
